Shandur, also known as the roof of the world, located in Chitral, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa district Yasin-gupis. its height from sea level is 12200 feet, which is such an amazing height which this place have. the beauty of shandur is majestic you will wonder if you see the natural beauty of it.

Every year polo tournament took place at shandur from 7th to 9th July between the teams of Gilgit and Chitral that is named as shandur polo festival. people from all over the world visit shandur on that week and enjoy the festival and also enjoy the natural beauty of shandur top.
people compare it to Switzerland, but it's my opinion that in some aspects it's far better than Switzerland.
initially, there were very rough roads due to which people faced difficulty while going to the festival but now that condition of the road is much better and one can easily visit shandur in his own transport.
the local people wait a whole year for this event to enjoy the traffic of people and tourist from all over the world because these are the opportunity for them to earn smoothing out of nowhere, they sell dry fruits, fresh fruits, juices, food & open restaurants so as to provide batter experience for the tourist who visits their areas. the hospitality level of Chitral people is mind-blowing, one will love the attitude of the locals and hospitality. we should appreciate the efforts from locals and encourage them to make even better ways to tackle the guest.
